Eric,
I checked the Kew's Monocotyledon World Checklist and there is no
reference either. Since the checklist can be a year behind in listing and
placing the published names , I continued my search.
This is what I found:
The judges of the the AOS Toronto Judging Centre granted on
Jose and Eric, check with Ecuagenera. They are finding, describing and
naming new species, and many of them carry the 'portillae' name. They may
have more information on it. It may be too new to be in any of the
previously existing literature.
