Steve I live in Papua New Guinea and have seen Bulbo fletcherianum growing in the wild in two sites. It grows on granite rockfaces in very humid conditions in shade which perhaps gets a little bit of sun in the early morning. They were all found at over 750 ft . The largest plants I ve seen
