Does anyone have any information about this clone? I understand it is
awarded, mostly interested in the Gorecrest clonal name that is
unfamiliar to me.
Thank you,

Nik,
you are correct; your friend's beauty is a Spathoglottis, but is a
very strange one. It is the uncommon & little-known S. hardingiana
Parish & Reichenbach. Occurs in mainly in Myanmar & Thailand; in
Malaysia known only from Langkawi, where it grows on limestone.

The word I thought of was dreck. 50 years ago the people who grew orchids had taste. Now they have money. (Present company excluded) And where can I get the latest Sanders for less than $108?

I started flasking nepenthes 12 years ago, since they are difficult
germinators under non-tropical conditions. From there it was an easy step to
flask orchids. I try to pollinate whatever flowers, just for the exercise at
the moment, altough I had p. phillipinense and coelygne cristate as pods.

Hi Kathy,
'Amateur' is the perfect word & I'll be happy to have it on my tombstone. The
literal translation from the Latin amÄtor is 'to love.'
In South Carolina, I can think of two other amateurs in addition to myself who
do their own flasking - one of whom has experimented with the art of

Hi all,
I'm helping a friend to id a beautiful terrestrial species which
looks like a Spathoglottis vegetatively but having different
flowers. I appreciate if anybody has seen this before and know
its name. You can view some pictures of this species at:-
