Actually, I know a bit about the LED stuff. The LEDs DO drop off in wavelength
stability and transmission. Surprised? I was.
Right now I am running some tests on orchid growth using red and blue LED bulbs
made by a company that was kindly willing enough to donate them for such a
purpose.

Of course you are correct (I don't mean this in a 'smarty-way' - I don't
know the emoticon for 'serious'). Hype or no hype this seems to be one of
those areas that needs everything done so as to protect it . MOST
especially now that it has been hyped.
