I grow my Dendrochilum wenzelii in my hothouse. Temperatures in summer 30 - 38 º C and in winter 20 - 30 º C. Night temperatures in winter down to about 8 º C. I grow them in a mixture of 30% NZ sphagnum and 70% Polystyrene beads. It is a very good grower and it blooms profusely in late winter/e

I looked up Dendrochilum wenzelii in Cootes' book and in Charles & Margaret Baker's culture sheets. Both say wenzelii grows at about 1000m however the Bakers say the temperature ranges from 89-90F during the day to 68-69F at night. That doesn't seem right. Over 3300ft and so hot at night? T
