Have you seen a Provisional award published in AQ?
That's what provisional means. The award is not published until the orphan plant has a proper name. All this hoo-ha is making me more determined than ever to get one of these Brassavolas and hopefully get it to bloom. The one that was in our show was hung way up in the air & the judges ignored it. Very curious as to how Toronto or Elmsford would handle it, as those are the centers it would most likely go to. I had a provisional award once, but the plant died before I could get it identified.
I already have one unpublished orphan, which I am trying to get to bloom when I can get it to judging.
