Thanks Viateur,
My "research" days with peyote are long over, not to inspire a new flame war. I
still seem to feel that I am much more lucid and emotionally stable than some
of the other "contributors" to this forum on ORCHID CULTURE, and ORCHID PLANTS
AND RELATED TOPICS. Perhaps we can have a seperate forum for ORCHID POLITICS
and orchid related CAREERS AND EGOS.

The Stermitz article was not listed on PubMed, nor could I find it by Google
Science. At any rate, befor the mid-90's most publications are not on-line.
Looked up phenanthrene and it appears toxic. I'll save my dropped off Onc.
cebolleta leaves until I know more. Now if you'll excuse me, I will go reflect
over all this for a few moments with the help of a nice cup of tea of Salvia
divinorum.

Thanks for bearing with us.

When you can find the time, please try and obtain a copy of the following
article :

  F.R.Stermitz, T.R.Suess, C.K.Schauer, O.P.Anderson, and R.A.Bye, Jr.,
"New and Old Phenanthrene Derivatives from Oncidium cebolleta, A.
Peyote-Replacement Plant",
J. Nat. Prod., 46, 417-423 (1983).

Please let us know when you can share a copy or scan of the above.

The best of luck in the continuation of your research,

Viateur
