Regarding Andy's reference to my tilting
at windmills, I actually did receive a couple of key replies to my letter to the
WOC. The letter was copied to a number of individuals for their
edification, but the replies sought were received, and the matter
is still open. As usual, Andy has no compunctions about spouting off from
ignorance or altering facts to suit his fancy.
Regarding Andy's pomposity about not
contributing orchids to our orchid societies, we had already written off
the future possibility of past trivial contributions from the orchid
firm Andy works for as not worth the insults that came with
them. It reminds me a bit of the punishment by Molly-O's Old Polack
Husband in "The Man with the Golden Arm" of not revealing to her
where he could buy day old bread cheaply.
It is ANDY'S windmill that is
