Nothing wrong with that, basically. It depends on your conditions. I fertilize full strength weekly if possible during the summer. There are a lot of myths in bonsai books, too. One of the most persistent is the one about humidity trays. Then there is the stupidity about running fluorescent lights the same length as the natural daylight. I've been kvetching about these for 30 years. Iris
