A special event is being hosted by the Coastal Valley Orchid Society of northern Santa Barbara county in California. As part of a new outreach effort by the American Orchid Society, accredited judges from the AOS will be judging orchids and the public is invited to watch the entire process. The event will take place on Saturday, September 16, 2006 at the Grossman Gallery in the Lompoc Public Library, beginning at 1:00pm. There will also be displays from surrounding orchid societies and vendors. Admission is free.
