Hi Seth,
I don't know if it's already been covered in this thread but I've
recently discovered that silica gel (the stuff that comes in little
white packets sometimes in bottles of vitamins) can be bought on Amazon
very inexpensively. I've been using it in my gym bag and it works
great. Tha
A few years back I had a need for duo tissue paper (2 pieces of tissue
bonded together) and used my standard method for foil-backing paper...
It was a VERY not pleasant experience. Did not go well, though I was
able to save the resultant mess with the liberal use of an iron and
paper cutter.
Hi Gerardo,
In "Creating Origami" there are several models that might fit-the-bill
for you. You can see images of all of my models on Gilad's website.

Hi Andrew,
It's been a long time since I've been teaching, but back in the day when
I did I would hold up a separate square of paper, fold it diagonally
into a triangle and then, without pre-creasing the fold I would
demonstrate the action in the air using the words "Now, stuff the point

I learned yesterday that Patricia Crawford passed away on March 28,

some material I forwarded to her regarding a new book that I'm working

I've heard about this "trading card" thing before but have no idea what
it is. Can someone give me a bit of a description of what they actually
are / what they look like / what the "protocol" is with regard to them?
Hey All,
I was at a local "Book Arts" show the other day and the program that
they were handing out was so cleaver and simple, with a few folds and
one strategic cut you can create a multi-page book out of a single sheet
of legal-sized paper which when unfolded shows the map of the show on

Hey all,
Just wanted to send out a couple of announcements for your post-turkey
pre-holidaze preparations. The first is a very late announcement that
/"//Tom Stamm's Origami Dragons/" is finally available. It actually
went live in July but with my surgery and recovery I've been very remiss

Thank you Gerd but the translation's already complete!
Thank you Anna! That was amazingly fast.
I've posted the German translation here:

I've already integrated the changes and posted the diagrams... let me know if

Have you considered offering this as an EBook download for purchase in addition
to the print copy? One of the biggest costs and prohibitions to purchasing
books comes from dealing with shipping, etc. Origami USA seems to be doing a
great job with this in diagram/booklet sales (Robert - maybe
Hey All,
Just wanted to send a shout out to Francesco Mancini who's "Six Intersecting

his "XYZ Rhombi / UVWXYZ Stella" in few months that
Hey All,
I’ve been holding out on the news with this one but havejust conferred with

I think they look totally fun Geraldo... and having a white on black version

Hey All,
Inspired by the work I've been doing with OUSA with Pubs/Archival, I decided to
create a special "extended" version of the Mooser's diagrams I did earlier this
year for the 2013 Annual and put them in paperback form for the holiday season.
I thought that they might be a fun gift thi
Serious fun! Thanks Robert :-)

I'm in agreement with the statement but find the way it is stated a bit
confusing.
For me, I always have my arrows (of any type) track the arc of the paper as it

Hey All,
I saw in a recent posting someone who was in charge of one of the Convention

Is it just me or are the colors in the first choice more saturated and
slightly richer?
Nope, they should be the same. It's possible that CreateSpace made a slight
adjustment.
Hey all,
I'm working with the Publications Committee on the final details for this years
