It's my 5th title for LKP, continuing the series begun in 2011 with the publication of 'Folding Techniques for Designers' and subsequently, 3 smaller titles. The 4 books are here:: http://foldingtechniques.com/ If I may say, after 35 previous attempts beginning in 1984, I think 'Pleats' is my best book! It differs from the other LKP books because it's larger (304 pages), hardback (and featuring a large debossed pleated panel on the front cover), full colour and because it features the pleated work of more than 40 designers, in all-manner of materials from fabric to wood to architectural facades. Origami artists are well represented. The book also contains a DVD of 23 instructional videos. Although more a book of generic folding concepts for designers than a book of origami models, there's still a lot to fold (more than 200 CPs with accompanying photos) and much to explore, so I think it should have some appeal to an origami audience.. 'Folding Techniques for Designers' contributed to the rise of origami as a language of contemporary design. I sincerely hope that 'Complete Pleats' will follow, introducing designers to the wide and creative world of pleating.
