I want to specify the IP address of an application. Would this be entered in
the server.xml file? If so could someone give me an example?
I am running Orion 1.3.8 on win2k and am planning on using the orion
webserver as well.

That aint no stupid question, Orion application deployment has been very
difficult for me. It's not like IIS where you create your virtual directory
and drop in your files accordingly, map it to an ip and it works!

Funny guy! Where do you map the IP to an application? I am having confusion
in that in IIS/ASP the web site is the web application. In J2EE I think
there is potentially a difference? Or am I wrong with this too?

I appreciate the support, I realise that Orion is not charging huge CASH$
and as such is more limited as to the support they can provide. But, I think
that providing details on application deployment to make it easy for people
would go a long way to getting the server on the map and making the

to get a basic grasp of the application set up in Orion/J2EE and that is
contributing to me making stupid errors like that.
How about orion vs. jrun? Is jrun easier to set up
and deploy apps. with? Is it slower than Orion, how about how buggy it
is?

I have been trying to install an application using
orion and I am having a terrible time of it. With what information I can find I
have installed the application in the application direcotry of orion and set the

webserver as apposed to plugging it into Apache for instance. I was just
wondering what, if any functionality that the Orion web server may lack
versus the others previously mentioned?
