Hi,

we too have made the step from interbase (same linux and java problems, we
even patched the jdbc driver...) to SAP DB. I highly recommend SAP DB,
especially if you have a windows box to run the clients on (server under
linux, of course ;-). Very handy, it was the database that took less time to
install & configure of all the databases we tested - and the only one which
did not hang at all by now (knocking on wood).
