stupid question - why would anyone want to virtualise linux on windows ? this looks more like a pot-shot at vmware. hopefully, the drivers can be useful for wine - i still cant get a good accounting software alternative that runs on linux as compared to ubs accounting, peachtree or quickbooks.

Salutations, I guess the whole hoo-hah was due to the fact that MS finally decides to contribute something for the GNU/Linux ecosystem rather than just flinging FUD at it. Yes, to many, the drivers may not amount to much but it could be a start for more possible contributions in the future. Eri
