Hi Anders, FreeCAD uses Open Inventor (it's fork) - and while it is not osg ( I had idea some time ago to port FreeCAD to osg - but unfortunately I'm constantly time constrained ) you might take a look there for inspirations. otherwise there are several osg based modelling tools ( which are not
