March 14 MP Mouin al-Merhebi told the Voice of Lebanon radio station on
Saturday that armed people closely associated with March 8 and Hezbollah
crossed the northern borders into Syrian territories.

He did not elaborate any further.

Yesterday Al Jazeera reported that 3000 Syrian protesters in Abu Kamal near the
Iraqi border , Syria set on fire a poster of Hezbollah chief Sayyed Hassan
Nasrallah. Nasrallah’s speech in Beirut last Wednesday in support of Syrian
President Bashar Al Assad reportedly infuriated demonstrators and activists.

There were several reports that Hezbollah and Iran are assisting the Syrian
regime in its brutal crackdown but Nasrallah denied on Wednesday the
allegations

According to human rights activists, at least 1,100 people have been killed and
over 10,000 others arrested since the revolt against Syrian President Bashar
al-Assad’s regime began mid-March. Thousands of Syrians fled to Lebanon to
escape the violence
