Hassan al-Basri Brigade Attack British Intelligence Officers in Basra

In a communiqué issued April 13, 2005, al-Hassan al-Basri Brigade
detail a bombing operation aimed at British intelligence officers in
Basra, Iraq, this morning.

A "package of explosives" was detonated on a car allegedly belonging
to the "military British intelligence." According to the statement:
"It's occupants were either killed or wounded."

In separate messages translated and disseminated by the SITE
Institute, the Hassan al-Basri Brigades claimed responsibility for an
attack on a Iraqi police patrol on March 21, 20051 ; the February 26th
rocket attack on a British base in the city of Basra2 ; and the group
reportedly was behind the February 9th murder of an Iraqi journalist,
in which they said to have "liquidated an apostate agent."3
