In a press release, IUMS said it will call on Muslims to boycott all Norwegian and Danish products and activities if the newspapers of the two countries do not stop publishing material aimed at offending Islam. As some Danish and Norwegian newspapers published a number of caricatures that were deemed offensive to Islam, IUMS called upon all Arab and Islamic nations to participate in these efforts. Established in 2004, IUMS is headquartered in Dublin with its secretariat in Egypt.
