I did work some years back with the United Nations Development Programme
and also facilitated an open space funded by NATO.
They'll hover on the day at the edges and may try to insert three hours of
opening thank you speeches. Battle those away, smile and ignore the
hoverers and get to work

Good advice, and you have confirmed my suspicion that I should leave out
the term "open space", at least in the proposal.
Also good to know that some open space has penetrated the UN behemoth :)
