Birgitt mentioned that the OS community is interested in learning more about Appreciative Inquiry and the connection to Open Space. Here is an opportunity, especially for those in Canada. We are holding an AI workshop in Cochrane, Alberta (30 minutes west of Calgary) in October. Here are details on the upcoming event:
Date: October 13-15, 1999 Location: Centre for Learning at Ghost River Crossing (west of Cochrane, Alberta) -- residential program Cost: $2,630 Canadian (includes all program material, accommodation, and meals for 2 nights and 3 days) -- Price in US dollars is $1,756. The session will provide an indepth understanding of AI and a chance to explore how to apply AI philosophy in a variety of business and personal settings. Although we expect participants to have knowledge of AI philosophy, our experience has shown that we need to spend more time at the workshop giving participants more in-depth knowledge of AI. Conducting an AI through the session so that one can experience it, and thinking about the application of AI for one's particular situation have provided real practical value for past participants. The workshop will be facililated by Cathy Royal, PhD who has extensive experience in the application of AI and has developed the AI programs for NTL (National Training Laboratories). I will assist Cathy in the facilitation, bringing specific organization-related experiences in AI. To register for the program, please email me at creative.e...@cadvision.com or telephone me at 403-286-2050. Thanks for your interest and hope to hear from you soon.
