There probably is, although this depends on:
- the author and/or the publisher of the work
(have they claimed copyright)
- and on the different national laws of the
country of the server and the country

Folks -- as some of you may be aware, all dissertations completed at US
universities are required to be archived with University Microfilms, Inc.,
Ann Arbor, Michigan. When I last checked (a few years ago), they provided
bound copies of dissertations for about $30-$40. This was before CD-ROMs

Andrew: Marlene's paper is a doctoral dissertation, and it's 200 pages
double sided. It's an ethnography of the famous Rockport open space. I'm
willing to copy and mail it if you will reimburse expenses. Cheers
