Dear colleagues,
a bunch of us developed a way to show the "open space-landscape" for
Berlin.
Before you have a look at it here some directions for
non-germanspeakers:
As you open it, you will find
"open space-Landschaft" at the right upper corner, it is also the
"home" button
Below it, you find a notice that translates into
"There are 108 events listed in this open space-map of Berlin"
Below this statement (we feel there are a lot more but those are the
events listed)
you will find a horizontal menu-bar
At the left
"BegleiterInnen"...if you click on this button you get the names of
the facilitators that have entered events they facilitated in Berlin
(they may have facilitated events elesewhere but this just reflects
the Berlin situation). If you then click the "Suche" button at the
right end of the menu bar you will get a list of all the events that
this particular facilitator has facilitated.
(The little box for each event has some arrows in the lower right
hand corner that lead to more information, photos, etc.)
The next button on the horizontal menu says
"Branche/Feld/Bereich"
If you click on it you will get a list of all the sectors, its all in
German, you might figure it out.
Ok, if you click on one of the sector headings, you will get all the
events that all of the facilitators have been associated with in that
sector (lets say "Schule" or "Kirche").
You can also combine the name of a facilitator with a sector heading,
click "Suche" and get a all the events in that particular section
facilitated by the facilitator you have chosen.
Right next to this menu button you see a small mindmap symbol, click
on it and you will get a mindmap showing all the sectors in an
overview...you can go to the sectors by clicking on the sector
headings on the mindmap.
You will discover that the 6 pictures on the homepage change each
time you open the site (there are 36 sets of 6 picturs each being
shown randomly...most of the sets focus on a particular aspect of an
os-event).
The menu bar at the bottom gives you
"Was ist open space?", a 20-line intro into os
"Begleitgruppe", the names of the 13 people that sponsor the site
"Nutzung", a form one can use to become a member (it costs about 4
bucks per event per half year...the more enter their stuff the
cheaper it gets),

Ok, here is the link
http://www.openspace-landschaft.de/berlin/index.asp

Csaba in Hungary is presently adapting the site for Hungary.
As other regions or cities or states in Germany become interested,
they will use this system to show "their" open space-landscapes.

Eventually, or pretty soon, there will be a central point from which
the various landscapes can be accessed.

The venture is still being developed...its been fun and is useful
both for spreading the idea of open space and also for getting
information to potential sponsors, especially those that typically
say "Well, it might work in hospitals but never in schools" and then
are shown a dozen schools in which it has worked and perhaps even in
one that is in their neighborhood or one to which they are connected
in some other way.

Greetings from Berlin
mmp
