In 1998, we did an event for the entire theatre sector in Scotland
sponsored by the Scottish Arts Council. The 165 participants set
priorities for the next strategic plan, including elevating children's
theatre to second place. Nine years later youth theatre is thriving
and touring
Loraine Kimsa Young People's Theatre in Toronto opened the space with my
help a couple of years ago. It was with teachers and schools who bring
their kids in buses to the shows. It gave them a real boost at a time
that numbers were down.
