Couldn't find the option initially but found and enabled the plugin and now have the legacy search. Its solves most of my problems, would be nice to choose which search the button on the map opens by default. Also if the 'show street' option from the new search was available in the legacy one.

You need to install the contour lines plugin from Google Play on your new phone. Then restart OsmAnd (swipe it away in the recent app list, and then open it again). Then go to Settings -> Configure Map and make sure Contour Lines and Hillshade layer are enabled. Nick On Friday, 20 April 2018
