The next step is to press on a point and see what type it is. Then search
for that type in POI overlay and (near the top) "show [that category] on
the map". Around here, for example, we have POIs classed as "military
bunker". I can display all POIs with that type without showing any others.
That's what I thought. Once you set the destination, it calculates the
route. If it's a long route, there's a delay.

Thank you, yes, the points will be displayed, but it is not ideal. POI
points are a lot and the map is difficult to view.

Make sure you have downloaded the Standard or Roads-only map(s) for the
areas you're interested in. Then...
Mark your starting point, then Actions > Directions from. A green flag will
appear

When I make a route in advance from an arbitrary point to a destination and
want to simulate it OSMAnd tells me to calculate the route first. How do I
do that. Can't find it in OSMAnd. When I press route description it says
Destination too far off or something.
