Moved data to external memory which did the trick and allowed me to find
the tracks directory where I can put my gpx files :)
Now my next problem is getting OSM to send notifications to my Pebble
smartwatch so when I'm cycling I can be notified of the next turn.

The issue that you describe might be due to Android 6.x. See also

help otapi (without success).
So you can try to move your installed OsmAndto another location the same
way as I descrived in those posts.
The simplest
I've created a gpx file from google maps and was hoping to export it to
osmand on my Galaxy Note 4 to use it for cycle navigation.
