Hi all,
After many announcements, coordination with other project and allowing a lot
more time than we originally promised, the shutdown of the 4.x OSRM demo server
going to happen this week.
If you have not yet migrated to the 5.x API at router.project-osrm.org
<http://router.project-osrm.org/>, please do so immediately. Within the next
few days, 4.x API calls (/viaroute, /nearest, etc) will begin permanently
returning error messages.
We've hopefully coordinated updates with all the major open source projects
that depend on OSRM (main OSM website, OSMBonusPack, Leaflet Routing Machine,
and a few others), but it's impossible to reach everybody. If you've got an
app/website/use case that begins failing in the next few days, please check
that you're using the 5.x API.
The OSRM demo server will be running the `master` branch from GitHub, updated
daily. The API documentation for this code can be found at

If you're migrating from the 4.x API, please note that in addition to the
altered URL format, all requests now use <lon>,<lat> coordinate order. If you
find yourself routing to places very unexpected, check your lon/lat order.
