I figured the problem out because, as Monika, I am a newbie. I was also
trying to run a classification task using the Random Forest algorithm.
Is there any "standard" dataset to use (a sort of HelloWorld) for
calibrating our installation (OS/Otb version/QGis etc...) ?

I'm experiencing the same issue as you. Have you found a solution ?
Unchecking the option box named 'On edge pixel inclusion' seem to partially
solve the ERROR you mention.
I am running OTB from QGIS on Linux Ubuntu Xenial.
