RonI was looking forward to your response to this post, as well as the response of
other OT educators. I know I "battle" with determining what is the necessary info to
teach and what is the traditional/authoritative/or other invalid variables that skew
what we teach in our professions.

I am an OT student who is at the end of my last semester and getting ready
to start fieldwork. I am still having a bit of trouble with goal
writing. I know that for an early stage Alzheimer's patient the main goals
are to preserve what cognitive and physical function they have for as long
as
AOTA has practice guidlines for tx of Alzheimer's. Look in the online bookstore.
A book that I have found very useful is Alzheimer's Disease: Activity Focused Care by Carly R. Hellen
Off the top of my head, for anorexia goals perhaps meal planning, nutrition, energy conservation, coping skills, re
