Has anyone ever heard of using Vaseline for wound care. I have a friend
that is about 4 weeks post skin cancer removal. She has one very small
area that has not healed. Her dermatologist told her today to fill the
area with Vaseline! Has anyone heard of this type of thing?

I'm not a medical professional...but the inventor of Vaseline was the
first person to use it for wound care. Saw it on the history channel
the other night. Here's the Wikipedia entry:

We use it often for wounds at our clinic. We also use a dressing that is
impregnated with vaseline (Xeroform). Works great!
