Here is just a more detailed version of my initial assessment of the cause.
Hopefully, it provides some usable information to the final solving of the
LOGIN PROBLEM mystery.
I believe the problem is located in the following 'equation portion' of the
'if' statement:

hi all,
when i click on customer user in admin area, the fields
are presented to enter the name id, first name, comment and other
things.i want to rename the comment field as well as increase its
field limit from 50(current) to 100 or more.

Maybe some more information:
we have the user group feature enabled like this:
$Self->{CustomerGroupSupport} = 1;
$Self->{CustomerGroupAlwaysGroups} = ['users'];
what kind of information I should provide here additionally, so that somebody
may help ?
