If you actually read my previous email you will see that I asked about
upgrading from Source, I don't use RPM's, in particular it is a Gentoo
machine but OTRS is not installed using the ebuild, it is installed from
the source bundle.

Hi Davide,
From my understanding, the purpose of notes is to add data to
the ticket that agents can see, but the customer cannot. The 'Compose
Answer (email) adds information to the ticket like a note, but also
sends it to the customer.

I've just gone from 2.1.5 to 2.1.6, and kept the following ..
Kernel/Config.pm
Kernel/Config/Files/ZZZAuto.pm
Kernel/Config/Files/ZZZAAuto.pm
Scripts/apache2-httpd.include.conf
Scripts/apache2-perl-startup.pl
Hope that helps,

Hello,
I got an OTRS installation on a Redhat ES Linux 4 box. This OTRS
fetches mails from our Exchange 2003 server. Sometimes there are
mails with special characters in the subject header. The OTRS
PostMasterPOP3.pl will fail on these mails and thus no tickets will
be fetched until this
You should also be able to change the note to note-external with the same
effect.

I thought that note-external is intended to show information coming in
from an external source, like a reply from a supplier's helpdesk system.
These are also not sent to your customer Or is my installation not
working properly?

Yes, but the customer didn't receive an email. It's only able to view
note. I would like to notify the customer when a note is added!
