Sorry if I've missed something on this, but are these spam messages from external sources? If so, wouldn't it be more suitable to look at stopping them at your perimeter? I can readily recommend mailcleaner (www.mailcleaner.org) a free, open-source, Linux-based anti spam/antivirus mail gateway.
