Yup, stuff was routing all over the universe for us all the sudden (literally).
It has resolved now.

They run on different DNS servers. One was targeted, one wasn’t. The
perpetrators clearly wanted to impact the most damage on commercial services,
who are the ones who can afford Managed DNS services, so they picked those to
target. Thus, your cheap services weren’t impacted because they weren’t
We've seen this since early AM. We called and they said it was scheduled
mainteance in LAX. Which makes no sense that the next closest hop is Hong
Kong...
