I'm getting NXDOMAINs for facebook.com and instagram.com at my home in
Kansas City. Recursive resolver is a local system, so this isn't related to
any ISP's recursive DNS hosts.

Hey Ethan,
My BGP session with them on DE-CIX NY flapped briefly about an hour before
you sent this message, so there was something going on, but it doesn't seem
to have lasted long.
Take care,

Hey folks,
Looks like usno.navy.mil DNS is having issues. This is causing NTP requests
to the atomic clock servers there to fail when using DNS names, and their
website's DNS is also not resolving for me.

been down for a little bit now. They have a couple of night time
maintenances scheduled over the next couple of weeks, but this started
around 03:20 central time.

I've got a Level3 wave service from NY to KC that's been down for over 5
hours now, they are reporting a power issue in Cleveland, OH. Not sure how
far reaching this impact is or if others are seeing issues as well.
They've got vendors on site now apparently diagnosing the issue, no ETA for

There appears to be a Google fiber outage in the Kansas City region. Upon
investigating, I believe the root cause is that my dog has gotten to the
optical cable near where it enters my premises. Is anyone else being
impacted by this or seeing any similar issues?
Thanks,
Matt
I've got a Level3 wave between NYC and KC, MO down - no light on the NY
side. Anyone else seeing anything potentially associated or have any idea
what's up? Ticket is in to Level3 but usually takes then a couple of hours
to let me know what's going on after I put in a ticket.

I've got a wave between KC and NYC from Level3 (now clink) that's been
showing hard down on the NY side for about two hours now. I've got a
ticket open with them on the issue, but haven't heard back yet regarding a
root cause. When calling in to their support line to check on my ticket,
