Experience: 5+ years design and development experience in data warehousing. 3 to 5 years of experience in data architecture and logical modeling. Strong conceptual, relational and dimensional data modeling skills. Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions. 5+ years overall IT application development implementation experience. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Skills: Data modeling expertise and a thorough understanding of logical modeling concepts. Advanced knowledge dimensional modeling for data marts and warehouses. Knowledge of physical design for large-scale enterprise systems. Knowledge of relational concepts. Knowledge of business rule interpretation and ETL concepts. Knowledge of business reporting and BI tooling concepts. Strong organization and analysis skills. Strong communication skills. Knowledge in Insurance/Finance a plus. Knowledge of ER/Studio, ERwin or similar modeling Responsibilities: Strategically design the information architecture for the data warehouses, data marts, and data stores, while ensuring high levels of data availability Create conceptual, logical and physical data base models for data warehouses/marts. Work closely with report developers and analysts interpreting reporting requirements and collaborating on reporting designs. Coordinate with other technical staff to develop database architectures, ETL standards, and quality assurance policies and processes. Responsible for data acquisition and access analysis and design. Develops process for capturing and maintaining metadata. Coordinates new data development ensuring consistency and integration with existing warehouse structures. Assess and cultivate strategic goals for data warehousing in conjunction with the key stakeholders.
