One of our clients has an open position we think you could be great fit for "*Power Builder*" *Location:* Albany, New York 12234 *Duration:* 24+ months Contract The existing sytem is comprised of 15 windows servers distributed throughout the state and built with Power Builder / Oracle. The existing system will be re-written and Business process improvements will be made to mesh with the current federal requierements for this program. NYSED is seeking an Individual with advanced power builder skills capable of supporting this systems and completing the programming tasks required for the deployment. *Details:* · Perform Detailed systems analysis to understand and identify the programming changes required. · Design and communicate database structure changes needed. · Complete power builder programming task required for new releases and daily operation. · Document programs changes and maintain a log for each item modified. · Write stored procedures and triggers as needed in Oracle. · Create and implement a test plan for quality assurance of all required programming changes. · Cordintae with NYSED staffs on all testing activites · Track all changes included in each release, creating the power builder dynamic library files creating/ updating the deployment checklist. · Perform ‘day of’ activities including data changes and verification of the completion of databse replication. · Maintain a distributed client server power builder / oracle system. · Identify procedures for deployment and rollback of new releases.
