Not that I'm answering your question but if your a windows man I certainly wouldn't pick debian to make a first stab at getting owfs running. Ubuntu might be quite a bit easier. Also it is possible (although possibly much 'heavier') to running owfs under vmware server on a windows machine. -darr

I'm very interested in OWFS on cygwin, and have a couple questions: 1)  Can a USB 1-wire adapter be used on winXP? 2)  what all do I need to install on cygwin to make it work (same as any linux OS - fuse, libusb & owfs)? 3)  Anyone have it working and want to share any tips/tricks? I'm a wind
