Depends a lot on the motor. If it's an induction motor (quiet) you
basically need variable frequency drive (VFD), if it's a universal motor
(noisy) a light dimmer will work fine (if it is rated for inductive
loads). If it is a squirrel cage or shaded pole, you really can only use
the speeds i
