I, too, would like to get changes submitted upstream.
I think the patches often point out problems in the code, and it makes
releasing new version easier because the repackaging is simpler and so
won't lag behind.
This also would include rpm and ipkg and any other formats that people
find useful.
Hello!
Doug that has been a work in progress ever since the technology was first
announced. That is the ability to sense temperature using a semiconductor
device. And incidentally read the data back to software and the host in a
timely fashion.
For example if any of us have here DS1820 devices, wi

Hi Vincent,
I also did some Debian packaging of owfs before, but have no
experience with split packages.

I will probably find the time during the weekend to upload the package
from your git to my ppa.
In my experience it is good to port as many patc

Argh! I hate it when the correction needs a correction.
Should have read:
IF, however, you are using a master (in our case the Link45 family) that
does NOT have a connection to +5 (Pin 2 ... orange) on the cable, the
net result is that the Vdd pin of the DS18B20 is left floating.

Elroy,
The statement in our manual is misleading. The "floating" Vdd pin is
not really floating. It is connected to +5 on the cable. IF, however,
you are using a master (in our case the Link45 family) that does have a
connection to +5 on the cable, the net result is that the Vdd pin of the
