I am collecting values and will try to associated them with what I observe.

Maybe percent of maximum sun.
There may be a way to associate the sensor out

Should I use just illuminance or should current and gain be part of the
"equation".
Thank you for your input.

Hi Peter!
I would record the data for some time in an rrd database and/or mysql
datbase (or at least a text file) and use the measured maximum of a sunny
day as 100%. I sample my sensors in 5 min intervals, which is not too
much, but still accurate enough for statistics.

I have a Hobby Boards solar sensor which gives values for current, gain and
illuminance.
Can anyone tell me how to translate these values to an indication of how
sunny it is?
Maybe percent of maximum sun.
Needless to say I am a rookie.
Thanks,
Peter

Oh! Please don't interpret my comment as a statement that you are wrong!
It was simply referencing what I
Hello p4tryk,
Sorry to hear you are having DS2483 problems.
You say you connected SLPZ connected to 5V, this is wrong, SLPZ should be
connected to 3v3, and Vcc connected to 5v as you wrote in you previous post.
I am having similar problems with the bus though they are cured by invoking

Hello
Finally I soldered my usb-i2c-1wire board but I does not work properly.
First I tried the new DS2483. As soon as I list owfs directory the
voltage on 1-wire drops to zero and stays this way. I use latest p15
