Hi, first of all I would try with the latest release of OWFS. Both 2.8p15 and 2.9p8 are pretty old (May 2015, Oct 2014). 3.1p1 is the latest release version from January 2016. I have no idea about what is available for RPi though. You may have to build yourself, but search the owfs-developers
