people can easly reuse it.
otherwise it would be wasted effort, if everybody has to do it from scratch

sheevaplug? i had owfs running on sheevaplug in 2009. and on dockstar now.
what did u solve? i dont know of any problems running owfs on sheevaplug or
Seagate dockstar
and i recommend the dockstar, which is only about 25 Euro !

you must start and then stop a mission for normal temp./humid. reading to be
possible.
it seems owfs does not switch on the oscillator.

so i think its your system, kernel, distro or maybe the owfs version.
i am using 2.8 and 2.7 and on ARM and x86 all works fine.

if you mean humidity (when you say moisture) then i use a DS1923

is costs 70 euro, but it's working for me since august without any problems.
and it reads temperature also, with 1/8 °C accuracy.
