It's dead easy now, just add the repository 'deb
http://owfs.davromaniak.eu/ ubuntu natty' and then install via Synaptic.

I have had no problems using Ubuntu (native, not in VMWare), but
cannot comment on other ditros. Coincidentally I am looking into
using VirtualBox on
