njh, just tried local echoing by shorting Tx and Rx with 9-25 converter ...
works fine.
So, /dev/ttyS0 is OK.

I don't see any problems with your layout, a quick check to make sure you
have the serial port working is to stick a wire connecting pins 2 and 3.
Then in serialport tool of choice (gtkterm is reasonable) turn of
OK, Paul, as I told Christian before:
This is precisely how my devices are connected:

If they own a DS9xxx serial port transceiver, they own a ds2450. You can

However, the Max232 uses a fair amount of power to drive the charge pumps,
which you would then just be throwing away.
If you just used a DS2480
ial-console cable at:

Lets be systematic.
DS9097 or DS9097U
Any problems with permissions? (root?)
Try running with --error_level=9 --foreground and look at the starting
messages.

I tried some voltage sensing with DS2781K Maxim chip, which is connected
to a DS9097 serial adapter through RJ11. I\'ve installed all necessary
software, but not been able to pull out any information from the mounted
directory (/mnt/1wire). My laptop\'s serial port is set to baud rate
9600. He
Thanks, Christian.
I'll try it out, and get back to you soon.

found in kamikaze 7.07. I&

I would appreciate your help, if anyone can help me out finding a MIPS OWFS

Thanks.

Hi,
I installed openwrt (kamikaze) with MIPS (i.e. big endian) for my AP.
Now I\'ve a difficulty in installing OWFS in the AP.
All the openwrt OWFS packages are for MIPSEL (i.e. little endian), and
not for MIPS.
Can anyone help me out? Where do I get MIPS (and NOT MIPSEL) ipkg
for OWFS?
