As I said.
It's O.K. for curtain "bigger" apps to have an own repository. And only if the
maintainer requests it.
Having this for every single small app introduces chaos without a benefit.
In the meantime I suggest that we try to fix the urgent bugs that we currently
have instead of discussions
Is there anyone with some spare time, who could write a page on how to get your

Because otherwise you have to manually rename it after cloning. But that’s
not my main point.
I don’t see the problem here. The app repos should be simply named
»calendar«, »contacts«, »mail«, »notes«, »news« and so on. We can still
introduce some extra prefixes if we find that causes any problems
Why does the name of the folder need to be the same of the repo?

Also, I don’t think »splitting the apps repo« is a thing we have to do in
one fell swoop, because it’s just organizational work we can spread out.
And of course we have to coordinate with the app maintainers anyway.

I disagree with introducing this namespace, especially because the apps are
ideally just cloned into the apps folder. Then you’ll have an apps folder
full of »app-…« apps. Appedyapp.
We need a separate list linking to the repositories short of Github’s own
listing anyway. I also don’t see why we s

I totally agree on this splitting and I totally agree with the naming
proposed by Jakob.
Code and commits should be easy to migrate. Is it easy to do the
migration of the issues to the new repos?

I think it makes sense for the big apps where the developers request such a
change. For a lot of the smaller ones an apps repo for "the

Hello,
I really like the idea of splitting up the apps repository by creating a
repository for each app. However, I dislike the current names of these
repositories.
I'd prefer a naming schema like "app-mail" and "app-news". This way it'd be
easy to distinguish the app repositories from the oth

Well it should be safe by default and that's where template languages come in.
The templating itself should be quite easy because it's similar to other
templating languages (and designers should in general be familiar with
templating) and you can't handle JavaScript security in php. Also learnin

Alright. Agreed, I seem to have missed that.
However, it just adds another templating language to learn, which is where we
seem to rise another barrier for theming things more easily.
XSS injections and other security issues *must* be addressed inside the source
code (preferably through PHP). If
