Hello,
people who use the ebuild in the owncloud-client overlay may now
upgrade to the newest version and test.
Due to the merge of mirall and ocsync there could be problems i did
not catch.
Thanks,

You might want to raise an issue in the owncloud/apps repository (that's

Hi,
i don’t understand every single note at the draft changelog but maybe someone
can tell me if the significant performance impact of the 1.5.0 client is fixed?
Specially on notebooks the problem is that the client produce a very high cpu

Hello,
I'm a college student and I'm planning to apply for GSoC of ownCloud.
I have my own project idea, who should I discuss my idea with? Should I
also post my idea there?
Thanks!

Hey Pellaeon,
We are #ownCloud-dev and #ownCloud-design on Freenode (IRC). You can come
over and discuss with the developers there. Or you can write a mail on the
ownCloud mailing list regarding your Idea. Though I would recommend that
you first discuss the idea on the IRC.
I hope that helps.

Ok, i just pushed an update with a blocker on ocsync.
A short test worked out for me.
Tested here by resyncing the owncloud-client overlay, unmerging mirall,
emerging ocsync and trying to emerge mirall. I got the blocker I was
expecting.

Heya app developers! :)
Currently apps can include icons from core in their CSS using %webroot%.
We need to remove this because of performance reasons and will disable
support for it in ownCloud 7. The alternative for this is already in
master in the form of a new CSS file: icons.css

Hi Pellaeon,
Good to hear that.
What I suggest is:
- get comfortable with the owncloud project (check github pages --
issues, code repository, junior jobs)
- propose your idea on the mailing list
- hang out in our IRC channel
Best,

I like the move to seperate icon classes since it covers the base
usecase. If you use more complex backgrounds like maybe background image
and color this may cause issues. Then again this should be very rare,
should the app dev just create a local copy inside the app?
Maybe a solution without
