Just been through a bit of pain trying to install the Azure tools for VS2010
on a Windows 7 box. Posting what I found here in case anyone else needs to
do this.

The web platform installer kept failing on my machine when I tried using it
(as is the recommended way) to install this
I think it is just a bunch of environment issues with your machine.
Over the last 4 months I have wiped and reinstalled the entire stack 7 times
now (I wipe before starting each chapter of my book to ensure nothing
strange creeps in).
