Hi Les, I've used the OOXML SDK in my app to insert a custom XML part into a DOCX file and then bind content controls to relevant values. The main reason for choosing this over find / replace is that we can easily pull the information out of the document without needing to parse the content. For

I am not sure how good a fit this is with your situation but you could look at TX TextControl. It is Rich Text control (3 flavours WinForms, WPF and ASP.NET) but it appears to have all the functionality you need with respect to mail merge, multiple file formats, export to PDF. It does not need eit

Hi Les We replaced all the mail merge features in our legacy app with Microsoft Report Builder i.e Microsoft.Reporting.WinForms.LocalReport() The added benefit was that my clients can download it and configure their own reports. They can output to Word, PDF or Excel. Cheers Kirsten -Orig
